Chelsea Lodge, Portsmouth Road
Of the former Seething Wells water treatment works. It was built in 1860 by James Simpson for the Chelsea Waterworks Company. The style is Italianate - see the rather spindly campanile tower. Grade II listed.
The tower beyond is the old coal store, also by Simpson. A tunnel used to run from the store to the Thames. Grade II listed.
The site is now occupied by Kingston University.

Historic pub on Brighton Road, Surbiton which has gained an exotic neighbour in the form of Hong Kong House. The bus is on a long distance route from Guildford to Kingston, a distance of nearly 20 miles.

Seething Wells, Surbiton
Looking rather like a prison viewing from the other side of the Thames, these buildings were built in the mid-C19 as a water treatment works. Part is now a hall of residence for Kingston University.
