Old Milestone by the A246, Guildford Road, Effingham
Carved stone post by the A246, in parish of Effingham (Guildford District), centre of Effingham village, near Scout Hall, on grass verge between road and path, on North side of road. Leatherhead cut stone, erected by the Leatherhead & Stoke next Guildford Turnpike Trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : GUIL(DFORD ) / 8 : : LONDON / (22) : : LEATHE(RHEAD) / 3½ : : ( ? ) : Milestone Society National ID: SY_GULH08.

Browns Lane, Effingham
Looking north towards St Lawrence Church which can just be glimpsed in the background. The lane to the right is named after Barnes Wallis, famed for the WW2 "bouncing bomb". There is a memorial to him in the churchyard.

Mitsuoka Roadster in Effingham
T.H. White is the sole dealer who sell Mitsuoka in Britain, who make retro cars by hand in Japan. They make a number of models but after trialling the smaller Nissan Micra based Viewt at the motor show decided not to import any other cars than the Roadster.
