Footbridge at Bookham Station
The wrought-ironwork of the stairways of this bridge is quite elaborate, which would suggest that it dates back to before 1914 - and is quite probably Victorian. In all likelihood it was built by the London & South Western Railway, which - according to Dendy Marshall's 'History of the Southern Railway' - opened Bookham station in 1885. It looked to me as if a start had been made on re-painting - not before time. The colour scheme may turn out to be blue, white and orange, which would suit the bridge quite well.
