Fetcham Reading Room
Built around 1885 for the benefit of agricultural and domestic workers in the area, it can be found at 181 Cobham Road, opposite the road junction with River Lane. It appears to be still actively used by painting and U3A groups. The Keep Left Bollard is the same one shown in Andrew's photo Image

Fetcham Common Lane
Fetcham Common Lane was once a cart road between Lower Road and Cobham Road. It's the continuation of Kennel Lane, which loses its metalled surface at the junction with Revell Drive, and becomes a minor track up to the bridge over the railway line (just behind the photographer). Here, it continues north to emerge on Cobham Road at the top of Maskell's Hill. The section of Kennel Lane between Revell Drive and the bridge was stopped up for vehicles in the magistrate's court in 2000, and is now a public bridleway (Leatherhead 148). To the left is a public bridleway (Leatherhead 3) along Woodside towards Bookham Common.
