Wates House
Office building on Station Approach, built in the 1990s for the IT firm Logica and then headquarters of the Wates building firm since around 2002. The development originally consisted of two buildings, Babbage House and Tirian House (seen here), which were linked by the glass structure on the left of the photo around 2003. On the far right of the photo can be seen the sculpture "The Leopard" by Jonathan Kenworthy see Image and Image

"The Leopard"
Sculpture by Jonathan Kenworthy outside Wates House. Cast in 1983, commissioned by Andrew Wates, chairman of the Wates construction firm, it was originally situated in a square off Friday Street near Mansion Street Tube Station in London, but moved here in 2009. Leatherhead Station
Opened in 1867 by the London Brighton and South Coast Railway when they extended their railway (which had previously terminated by Kingston Road) south to Dorking and Horsham. It was designed by Charles Driver. Grade II listed - see www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1191033. The former Stationmaster's House, the leftmost section of the building as seen here, now houses the library of the Railways Correspondence and Travel Society.
