3 Coal Tax Posts
Could this be the only point from which three Coal Tax Posts can be seen at once? No 149 (see Image) on the left, no 150 (see Image) in the distance to the left of the lane and no 151 (see Image) just visible in the very far distance. (Since writing this I have been contacted by Martin Nail to say that in answer to my question there are in addition two trios on Epsom Downs also visible together)

Path junction
This is the point where the North Downs Way leaves the top of the North Downs when travelling westwards, going steeply down the scarp slope (note the wooden post with acorn symbol just visible). Although a path continues to the right and can be used to reconnect with the North Downs Way further on, the official route is more attractive. Note also the Coal Tax Post (see Image).
