Old Milestone by the A217, Brighton Road, Banstead
Carved stone post by the A217, in parish of Banstead (Reigate and Banstead District), Brighton Road, Tadworth, opposite No. 138 and Aberdown School, on central reservation (almost buried), on West side of road. Surrey limestone pillar, erected by the Reigate turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- : (LONDON / 15) : : (BRIGHTON / 36) : Carved benchmark recorded.
