Chessington Road Recreation Ground (or Bakers Field) was purchased on 16th October 1930 by Epsom & Ewell Borough Council for £1,000. This view looks along the boundary with Chessington Road which is on the left.

Boarded buildings, Chessington Road
The house to the rear may be the sole survivor in original form of a group of houses extending to the west along Chessington Road. The near building has a shop front, and is built in the front garden of the rear house. They are on the corner of Plough Road, which takes its name from a beer house that was behind these buildings to the right.
