Chertsey Lock
The lock is about 200 yards upstream of Chertsey Bridge. It was first built by the City of London Corporation in 1813. It adjoins a small thin island connecting to Chertsey Weir. The slate notice near the steps informs users that the lock will be closed from today (24th October) until 16th March.
