Linear moorings above New Haw Lock
Linear moorings are a pain on most canals, because one has lines of boats to cruise slowly past. However, there is no alternative here and the canal is narrow and shallow anyway.

Woodham Junction
Woodham Junction is where the Basingstoke Canal (right) leaves the River Wey Navigation. Crossing the Wey Navigation is the main Waterloo to Portsmouth railway line. (Out of picture to the left is the M25 viaduct over the older routes of communication.)
