Thames Lock, River Wey
A small cruiser passes the top gates and so onto the peaceful Wey Navigation. There could not be two waterways more different than the Thames and the Wey. The Thames is full of bustle and action, but thankfully, the gin-palace brigade cannot get their oversized craft through the Wey locks, so the latter river is left as a haven of peace for those who particularly value this aspect of the waterways.

Weybridge - Ham Mill
The first Ham Mill was here on the River Wey by 1693 - subsequent mills made paper, crushed oil seeds and was demolished after 1963. A residential development on the site was built in 1989. www.weyriver.co.uk
