Brooklands Racing track
This is a view from one of the kit-built cars which give rides along a small length of the banked track. The ride is very bumpy and the banking is steep! A great experience for 'petrol heads'.

The Brooklands motor circuit (or race track) was the brainchild of Hugh F. Locke King, and was the first purpose-built banked motor race circuit in the world The track was opened on 17 June 1907

Members' Hill restaurant buildings, Brooklands motor circuit
These buildings are awaiting restoration - the notice is a more polite version of "Trespassers will be prosecuted". The concrete structure in the background is the remains of an anti-aircraft gun tower built to protect the aircraft factories on the site from air attack in the second world war.

Brooklands members restaurant
The derelict members hill restaurant dating from 1907 near the members banking. behind the building is an anti-aircraft gun tower dating from the Second World War when a Vickers factory occupied the site. These structures are currently undergoing renovation.
