Old Milestone by Littleworth Road, Littleworth Common, Esher
Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of Esher (Elmbridge District), Littleworth Road, South of Scilly Isles roundabout (quarter mile), in undergrowth on verge, on West side of road. Surrey limestone pillar, erected by the Surrey & Sussex turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-

The silly bit of the Scilly Isles
I've never worked out quite why there are two stages to this junction. Seen soon after the Olympic cycling time trial, hence the road being closed and access to the middle of the junction being easy.
