GPSS pipeline marker 'stile'
These 'stiles' are not stiles, but markers for the presence of a Government Pipelines and Storage System oil products pipeline. When in doubt, inspect for a small plate giving an emergency or enquiry number like this Image This part of the system is controlled from Aldermaston, and this line is on the Isle of Grain to Aldermaston via Walton leg.
