Part of an aircraft component factory complex by the main runway at Prestwick International Airport. Wing parts for various types of aircraft are produced in the complex which employs 750 people. The art deco building began its life in 1938 at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow as the Palace Of Engineering during the Empire Exhibition. It was dismantled and moved to Prestwick in 1941, during WWII. A fly past by Avro Vulcan XH558 at Prestwick Airport
This impressive Vulcan V-force bomber, which had earlier displayed at the Scottish Airshow at Ayr Low Green, entertained plane spotters at Glasgow Prestwick Airport with a flyby before landing at the airport. XH558 ‘The Spirit of Great Britain’ is the last remaining airworthy Vulcan.
