Prestwick St. Nicholas Golf Club
An old club, Old Tom Morris was Professional here. Soon after his tenure they moved to this course to the south of the town, having previously shared with Prestwick Golf Club.

A starling murmuration at Prestwick
A large number of starlings are displaying this year over the golf course at Maryborough Road. On this occasion large groups arrived at different times and roosted. If most of the birds had congregated before roosting it would have been fantastic, but the patterns will likely be different every evening.

The Salt Pan Cottages
Dating from around 1760, these cottages formerly contained furnaces for heating up sea water to produce salt. The buildings straddle a grid line.
