Souter Johnie's Flowers
A flower tub outside Burns Cottage, showing Souter (shoemaker) Johnie. The lines of poetry come from the famous work, "Tam O' Shanter". The character in the poem was John Davidson, who lived in the nearby village of Kirkoswald.
