Tam O' Shanter
A fine plaque on the Burns monument showing the final scene of his great narrative poem, "Tam O' Shanter". Tam's horse, Meg, has just reached the old bridge across the Doon. The youngest witch, ahead of the others, grabs Meg's tail but, as the witch can't cross running water, the tail comes off in her hand. Tam and the rest of Meg escape.

Hourstons sundial
