Not again! Road closure notice
This commandeering of public roads for the pleasure of well heeled sports persons has got to stop. They are everybody's, not just those willing an able to pay large entry fees. This is for a cycling event - you know you are allowed to ride your bike at any time and not have to: a) pay through the nose and b) not trample over everyone elses rights to do so. An increasing plague during this period.

World's largest haggis
This record-breaking haggis (1234 pounds - half a ton!) was distributed to the public in exchange for donations at Mauchline Holy Fair. The specially-made tank it was cooked in can be seen behind the "table" - it took two days to cook.
