Old Mill Lade At Turnberry
Turnberry Mill, also known as Culzean Mill, was sited beside Milton Burn. It was powered by water diverted from the burn and taken along a lade which ran alongside Drumdow Road. This view shows the old stone-faced lade running along the edge of the field. The water was stored in a mill pond, from where it ran below the road to power the corn mill. The mill building was converted into a private house.
