Carrick Academy, Maybole
The school was built in 1927 to replace an older school in the town that had been burnt down. A large extension was added to the rear of the building in 1972. The school is sited next to the busy A77 trunk road. Work started in late 2021 on a new Community Campus which will replace all of the old buildings.

Maybole Carrick Academy
The current brick and sandstone building was opened in 1926. Carrick Academy Primary School occupied the ground floor at the front of the building up to 1972. The site plan for the new Community Campus shows that all existing buildings are to be demolished.
