Common Spotted Orchid at Auchalton Meadow

Self-heal at Auchalton Meadow
Widespread and common on grassland, Self-heal (Prunella vulgaris) was growing on and around a bare patch of limestone at the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Auchalton Meadow reserve. A plant doesn't have to be rare to be lovely.
