The Beith Bear
The lifesize bear, carved out of Western Red Cedar by Scottish Chainsaw Carver Pete Bowsher, was unveiled in February 2018. It was carved to commemorate a dancing bear regularly seen in the town over 100 years ago, and in memory of the suffering of these animals. It also celebrates Beith's furniture businesses which were once major employers in the town.
