Struan post office
The post office is located in the corrugated iron shed which is also the local garage. The Black Cuillin bask in the winter sunshine in the background.

Former garage/shop/Post Office
This building has been photographed for Geograph several times already. I add this image to show that the garage fuel pumps are now covered over, the shop is closed down, and the Post Office sign has been removed.

Telephone exchange, Struan
I believe the small building in the centre of this group to be the original telephone exchange.
The white building behind has been added as increased capacity was required.
The corrugated iron shed behind the red phone box is the semi-derelict property of a local crofter, and was at one time the village Post Office.
Oh, and, yes - the bungalow behind DOES have a bright blue chimney...

Struan: postbox № IV56 85
The postbox is in the centre of the village, facing the village shop but a couple of hundred yards from the post office. It is emptied each morning except Sunday, at quarter past nine.

Cafe and shop in Struan
The blue-fronted building is currently trading as The Windrush Cafe, which slightly oddly is also an outlet for secondhand books and clothes, as well as some locally made craft items. The smaller building beyond is a fresh fruit and vegetable store which also stocks basic grocery items. They stand just off the village green in the centre of Struan. (I previously photographed the buildings in 2009 -
