Duirinish Church of Scotland/ Eaglais Dhi?ranais
Opened in 1832 to replace Image at Kilmuir. A curious feature is that the westernmost window on each side (on the left in this view) is a fake with panes painted on the outside, as they are not needed to let light into the church vestibule. "McLeod of McLeod, Dunvegan Castle" offered the following information to the compliers of the Ordnance Survey Name Book of 1876-78: This Church is situated about 15 chains North of Dunvegan Hotel and is a very substantial building; it was built in 1832 and seated for nearly 600 peopl. It is the Parish Church and convenient for the parishioners. It has a small gallery and is kept in good repair. The church is listed Category A https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200330799-dunvegan-parish-church-church-of-scotland-duirinish
