Skye Gathering Hall
The hall was built for The Skye Gathering Balls in 1879, and today they are still held annually in the hall. The hall also hosts craft markets, various meetings, charity dances, piping competitions, a general household goods sale, carboots, local food events and other functions including weddings.

Quay Street
Portree pier was built by Thomas Telford in 1818-1820. The harbour was once a port of call for steam boats carrying passengers and cargo such as livestock and coal. Quay Street, with its coloured buildings, was completed in the late 19th century.
