Forres Sale Rooms
From the look of the windows, I think this is really former Forres Sale Rooms. It was the cattle mart, built in 1867 to a design by A and W Reid. It has, apparently, some interesting internal features. The carved arch above the door has a ram's head at lower left, a bull's head at the top and a sheaf of grain at lower right, symbolising its original purpose.

Forres station (exterior), 1997
View NW from the approach-road: ex-Highland Railway (Aberdeen) - Keith - Elgin - Forres - Nairn - Inverness main line, also until closed 1/4/68 (passengers 18/10/65) the ex-Highland main line from Aviemore via Dava joined here from the south. The station was rebuilt in 1955. (See also Image] and Image]).
