Floods and Water Tower
The house is Floods, and it pre-dates most of its neighbours, being the only one here shown on the first edition of the six-inch Ordnance Survey map. I believe the concrete structure is a water tower.

Lyle, Montgomerie and Torrance
The steading next to Floods has been restored to form three units; the names plainly point to an association with the nearby golf course, being the surnames of three prominent Scottish golfers of recent decades - Sam Torrance, Sandy Lyle and Colin Montgomerie.

Boggy Field
Even though it has been relatively dry, there are still fields with standing water, like this one. Tugnet is in the distance, beyond the dreels of winter cereal.

Cotoneaster Berries
A colourful garden hedge by the roadside at Spey Bay. Evidently the supply of berries has outstripped the demands of birds and other wildlife for food, despite irruptions by winter visitors.

Spey Bay
These are the first houses you come to as you reach Spey Bay. The first one is Morven, then Braemuir, then Inverspey, and furthest away is a glimpse of Floods.
