The Square, Fochabers
The south side of the Square in Fochabers is dominated by Bellie Parish Kirk, built in 1798 to a design by Edinburgh architect John Baxter, and flanked by a pair of elegant Georgian houses.

Red Lion Tavern
One of the three hostelries in the village. It used to boast a large grape vine, in a glass-roofed room at the rear, that sometimes produced palatable grapes, but on one of the occasions when the pub changed hands the new owners dug up the vine and turned the room into a pool room or something of the sort. I have not set foot in the place since.
