I Ain't Heavy I'm His Brother
The youngest in the clutch is sat upon by his brother, and the other young Sparrow looks at Mum as if to say, what are you going to do about that?.

A Collared Dove
Collared Dove nests can be found in use in any month of the year, even during winter in the north of its range. Four or five, perhaps more, broods may be raised each year, sometimes overlapping, so that a pair may be feeding one brood on crop milk while already incubating the next clutch.

A Herring Gull at Lossiemouth
Lossiemouth has an abundance of Herring Gulls, unfortunately some of the locals regard them as a pest but they are beautiful and fascinating birds and studies of their social organizations have contributed enormously to the understanding of animal behaviour.

A Collared Dove at Lossiemouth
Follow the yellow brick (hay) road.This was quite worrying to me to see this beautiful Collared Dove walking along the line of chemically treated grass.

A Collared Dove
They rise in the air much like a Turtle Dove. These birds are much more timid and wary than Wood or Feral Pigeons.
