Henbit Dead-nettle (Lamium amplexicaule) with Ladybird
This is one of four species of Dead-nettle known in this area, and one I had never seen until it was pointed out to me. It will have more obvious flowers shortly.

Musk Mallow (Malva moschata)
These are the seed pods of Musk Mallow. As they mature they become more and more fragile, almost like lace.

Spring Vetch (Vicia lathyroides)
This is so tiny that I would never have seen it if it hadn't been pointed out to me. The flower is only a couple of millimetres long, and the leaves 5 - 9 millimetres.

Wild Rose Hips
With just one late flower. I can't be sure exactly which species this is, but it's probably one of the subspecies of Rosa caesia, the Northern Dog Rose.

Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria)
One of the most familiar types of toadstool, and common under Birch or, as here conifers. It is famously poisonous, though not invariably fatal, and hallucinogenic. The characteristic white spots are the remnants of a veil that covers the immature cap, and breaks up as the cap expands. They can be washed off by rain to leave the cap without spots.

Conifer Forest
This small section of Scots Pine forest between the cemetery and the canal doesn't seem to have a separate name. It does have an extensive carpet of Reindeer Moss (Cladonia rangiferina), looking almost like a dusting of snow.
