RAF Milltown WW2 Airfield - Battle HQ (1)
- Battle Headquarters: EDoB ID: e40274 RAF Milltown's wartime Battle HQ is located on a hilltop in woodland to the south of the former airfield. Milltown was first established in 1940 as a Q and K site bombing decoy dummy of nearby Lossiemouth. It reopened as a proper fully operational airfield in its own right in June 1943, becoming a satellite of RAF Lossiemouth. Wellingtons of No. 20 OTU operated from there until June 1945. Image

Jointure
It's a curious name for a farm, but the farm house and outbuildings are all built in traditional style from local stone.
