Cooper Park, Elgin
The Cooper Park was gifted to the people of Elgin by George Cooper in 1903. The boating pond is popular in summer. Though it was originally intended as a skating pond, the authorities now discourage skating for safety reasons.

The spectre of flood in Elgin
The river Lossie is full to the brim and high tide will be in 15 minutes! The town has been the victim of floods in recent years and we wait with apprehension as to what happens next.Cooper Park can just be seen through the trees to the right hand side.
