Anderson and England
Not only is the shop closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, but the street is also empty of parked cars. This is a very handy parking spot because you can park here for just 30 minutes, so there's almost always a space.

Slogans at the flood relief works in Cooper Park, Elgin.

Cooper Park Pond
From time to time it is necessary to drain the boating pond in the Cooper Park, revealing a soft muddy bottom well scattered with assorted litter. The yellow sign warns people not to try and walk in the mud, No-one with any sense would do so; there are evidently quite a number lacking in that attribute, to judge by the deep footprints round the edge of the mud.

Huge NCN1 sign
And within a few metres a "Cyclists dismount" sign. This was unusual in that the sign was appropriate and giving correct advice as the very busy North Street can only be crossed as a (brave and quick) pedestrian here.

Elgin Library
The new building houses the lending and reference libraries, and the older buildings behind contain stock and administration. The photographer location is on the footbridge across Alexandra Road.

Walk Round the Pond?
The pond was drained and tidied up during the flood prevention works, and once again offers swimming space for the usual flock of ducks and gulls again. Unfortunately it looks as if the outlet controlling the water level is malfunctioning, because the path round the pond is now in the pond.
