Culloden Barn Church of Scotland

Culloden Barn Church of Scotland
Built 1729 as a tithe barn for the Culloden estate, and probably used as a place of worship from the earliest times. Regular services have been held here since about 1860. A fuller history is available on the church website at http://www.barnchurch.org.uk/ .

Late 18th century dovecote which belonged to the Forbes family of nearby Culloden House about 3km east of Inverness. Close to the road which passes through Culloden village (not the battlefield).
