Allotments Site for Alcan Workers Village at Glenlia
The allotments are now very overgrown but you still have to be careful walking here as there is still old wire, corrugated sheets and old fencing about, plus apples, gooseberries, rhubarb, raspberries and brambles.

Air Raid Shelter in Glenlia
There are air raid shelters dotted about Glenlia. They were built during the war because of the importance of the aluminium being produced in the factory. There was one bombing raid.

Tree House on Common Ground in Glenlia
The land around houses in Glenlia Village was held in common for residents/ Alcam Workers as gardens, allotments, play areas, even for forest produce. A tree house was built 10 years ago. Every now and again it is fixed up and another lot of children use it.
