Daviot Church
The Church of Daviot was granted its charter in the 13th century as a mensal kirk for Elgin Cathedral and the Abbey of Pluscarden. The original church may have been built about the time of the reformation. A later church was certainly built in 1763-4 although no trace remains. The present church dates from 1826.

Daviot Church
Dating from 1826 and restored in 1991, Daviot Church, though small, is a very prominent landmark when travelling north along the A9. Daviot Church appears to be the full name of the church, this name being used on the information sign outside the church. It is located in the small village of Daviot beside a small hillock, locally known as Cnoc an t’Saigart (The Priest’s Hillock). The simple rectangular church has a very attractive spire and is a Category B listed building. https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200332409-daviot-parish-church-of-scotland-and-burial-ground-inverness-south-ward#.W1shvzGWw5s
