Former SNH North West Region Headquarters
27 Ardconnel Terrace was the former North West Region Headquarters Annexe according to a plaque by the entrance door. The building has been left in a derelict state, the interior is full of rubbish.
The building has probably lain vacant since the Scottish Government spent around £22m relocating the headquarters of Scottish Natural Heritage from Edinburgh to Inverness at The Great Glen house in 2006 Image]

Former Eastgate Hostel, 38 Eastgate
The Eastgate Hostel was badly damaged in a fire in April 2013. Since then the building has been derelict, and in a dangerous condition. For several years it was fenced off and supported by scaffolding.
It was partly demolished and made safe earlier this year. It has metal bars across the front, presumably some sort of supports.
