The Beatles Played Here, Dingwall
A plaque next to the entrance to Dingwall Town Hall, on Church Street. As it says: Highland Council The Beatles Played Here 4th January 1963 Reportedly, The Beatles weren't very popular - only 19 people in the audience. Instead, most had gone to see local band, 'The Melotones', who were playing nearby at the Spa Pavilion in Strathpeffer, with an audience of well over 1,000. It is claimed the Beatles finished their show early, to go to Strathpeffer to see The Melotones.
