Train on Dingwall Middle Level Crossing
The Kyle of Lochalsh Line crosses the A862 road. This level crossing was upgraded a few years ago, with full barriers installed. The train is a ScotRail service from Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness, a Class 158 multiple unit.

Newton Road level crossing
The railway connects Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness. The road is the A862, looking north. The large building in the background is Dingwall Academy. It is interesting to play 'spot the difference' between this image and one taken from almost the same spot by JThomas in 2014 - Image

Play area, Pefferside Park
This well maintained area is specifically designed for younger children. Other areas within the park cater for the older ones. The park was presented to the town by the Fire Brigade Club, and opened in 1949.

Entrance to Pefferside Park
This is the main entrance to the park from Newton Road. Paths within the park are currently being resurfaced, hence the 'road works' sign. Plaques on the gate pillars either side of the entrance state that the park was presented to the town by the Dingwall Fire Brigade Club, and opened on 5th May 1949.
