Freston World War One Memorial
This outstanding and life-size monument is carved in wood. She depicts Peace with a laurel sprig in her right hand.
WW1 Casualties: William Ewart ADAMS, William CATTERMOLE, Herbert William DRIVER, Frederick William HOWES, Albert Thomas JACKAMAN, Daphne Marian Jervis WHITE-JERVIS (VAD), Jack PRYKE, Robert William RUSH, Edward SMITH. Only one WW2 Casualty: E.W. HAWKINS.

Freston St Peter?s church
When looking for Freston church, ignore the tower on the horizon; Freston Tower is a Tudor folly six stories high. The church tower is half the height. In the churchyard, you cannot help but notice the peace or war memorial which is a beautiful figure of Peace carved from solid oak. The church has been over-restored and nothing of any great interest remains. The tower is 14th c. and the nave and chancel are under one single barn-type roof separated only by a great carved beam.
