Copdock and Washbrook village sign
The sign is a circle within a circle and in the interspace are the names of the two villages and oak leaves. Inside the inner circle are two churches with a tree representing the sheer number of trees and winding road and livestock between them The school bell tower is also included as is a large bird of prey. Immediately below the sign is a memorial and tribute to Lance Corporal William Hewitt, a holder of the Victoria Cross who was born in Copdock in 1884 and survived the war despite his injuries. He died in 1966.
