Harvest Time at Poplar Farm
A Massey Ferguson 8690 tractor with a trailer operating beside a Claas Lexion 760 combine harvester. A combine harvester is used to harvest cereal crops such as wheat, barley, oilseed rape and oats. It cuts the crop, picks it up, and inside the combine, separates the grain from the stalks. The grain is stored in an on board tank then offloaded into a trailer via a spout on the side, and the stalks are either chopped and spread behind the harvester or deposited in a row behind ready to be baled.
