Sproughton village sign
Sproughton sign features the “Wild Man” who was a hermit who lived in nearby woods when the pub was built early in the 16th century. The pink building is Sproughton Mill and I think it’s a barge rather than a submarine in the River Gipping upon whose banks the village was established.
