Semer All Saints church
This church is tucked away almost out of sight and secluded. It has been over-restored and some of the belfry sound holes are blocked with brickwork, marring its appearance. The porch is 15th century but that too has been restored. The 14th century font is a bulky item with the shaft only a few inches narrower than the bowl; which was square and has been crudely modified to octagonal, the cover is Stuart. The roof of the chancel and the screen are comparatively new. Directly behind the pulpit is the organ. There are a few pieces of woodwork that are well carved and a couple of wall plaques in memory of Sarah Cooke (1752), wife of a former vicar. There is another in black marble dated 1563. The corbels are different from the norm, having bulls with wings, probably representing St Mark as well as angels.

Dedicated to All Saints, this church is situated well away from the road, at the end of a narrow track. Nevertheless its churchyard is well-maintained.
