Grade II Listed timber framed building probably from the 17th century with 19th century shop fronts. Hadleigh Kitchen and Bedroom Studio was established in 1997. A company, B.G.A. Print Ltd incorporated in 1983 and dissolved in 1991, also appears in directories at 88 High Street.

Taken during the Covid-19 pandemic: on the lamp-post in the centre, a yellow sign carries the Government's "Hands / Face / Space" message.

Nearest, 79 to 83 are Grade II* Listed possibly a former hall house. The 1693 date referring to the plaster swag, the building is 15th century with 18th century shop bays. The remaining buildings are Grade II Listed. 18th century No.85, late 18th or early 19th century No.87 and late 18th century No.89.

Kings Head High Street Hadleigh, Suffolk.

Grade II Listed public house with 16th century core. Most of the ground floor rebuilt in brick in the 18th century. The first landlord I found detail of is George Hamblin in 1823 but unusually information regarding the history of the pub is very thin on the ground. Appearing in directories as Punch Taverns, it is now not on their website but shows on Adnams, possibly changing hands in 2016. Directory entries include; 1839-1855 Robert Long; 1869 John Nicholass; 1891-1912 Michael Emeny (in 1912, 'posting in all its branches').

Pair of Grade II Listed properties. 84 (left) is probably 17th century. Much altered in the 18th century at some stage it has probably lost a northern cross wing that would have matched the southern one. 82 is late 18th century.
