Leaving Ashbocking to the north
Ashbocking is a strange little place, to my eyes at least: it is strung out along a B-road called The Green (which has no green-like properties at all), most of the houses are well set back from the road (this photo shows some of the few that sit close to the street), and, as far as I could see, it boasts not a single public or social building (school, church, village hall, shop, pub, etc.).
