The former watermill on the River Fynn at Playford
The mill never was a real success as the river didn't always carry enough water to keep it working all year. Although there was a watermill at the time of Domesday when there was more water, this mill, which was constructed in the 18th century was eventually abandoned after it bankrupted two tenants. The mill pond and mill race was filled in and the building converted into an extension of the original millers house as it is today. Photographs were taken with the kind permission of the owner.
