The Garrett Anderson Centre, Ipswich Hospital
The Garrett Anderson centre at Ipswich Hospital opened in June 2008 houses a new emergency unit. The building is named after Elizabeth Garrett Anderson - the first female GP and a former mayor of Aldeburgh. It was officially opened on July 7 2009 by HRH The Duke of Gloucester. The photograph was taken from the top of the maternity block.

The building is named after the UK's first female doctor, Elizabeth Garrett Anderson. It opened in June 2008 and houses the Accident and Emergency unit for the hospital.
