Rushmere Parish Boundary Oaks
These are ancient parish boundary oaks, from the days when the boundaries were marked by beating the bounds. The girth implies they are about 300 years old. They are in the Mill Stream local nature reserve and on the Jubilee Walk (Source Rushmere St Andrew Jubilee Walk guide, 2003)

Stock car racing around 1960
Some very British stock cars at Foxhall Heath oval about 1960. UK stock cars always went round the track the same way as their US cousins, despite the driver being on the other side. The more recent UK Hot Rods however go clockwise. The original photograph is a colour slide.
